Coomera Indoor Sports Centre

The Coomera Sports and Leisure Centre is intended to host both the gymnastics competition and netball finals of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. When complete the centre will comprise 8 basketball, netball, and volleyball courts and 2500 square metres of dedicated gymnastics, outdoor courts, change rooms, administration areas and a café. The building will be an important addition to the existing sports precinct and local community. In order to host the Commonwealth Games event, the venue will house an additional 7500 temporary seats creating a world class competition venue. The design philosophy of ‘simplicity promotes flexibility’ provides a framework that supports a number of differing configurations, providing adaptability for the centre and the community.
