Aquarena Aquatic And Leisure Centre Redevelopment

Melbourne, Victoria

Having undertaken the initial masterplan for the centre, Peddle Thorp Architects completed the six staged delivery of the Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre, ensuring the centre meets the needs of the community; people of all ages and all abilities, now and into the future. Redevelopment works included construction of a new pool hall with warm water program pool, steam room and spa. Other improvements include outdoor water splash and play areas, a wellness centre, expansion and relocation of the health club and extensive redevelopment of the entrance foyer, administration zone and reception area. The result is a sculptural landmark building for the community with bright, light and dynamic interiors that deliver a state-of-the-art facility.
