The $46M, world class, FINA compliant Aquanation Aquatic & Leisure Centre, is a new community sports hub, social centre and iconic landmark for the City of Maroondah, its people and the surrounding communities.
The facility features a 66.5 metre, 10 lane pool and diving facilities, warm water pool, dedicated ‘Learn to Swim’ pool, large toddler and children’s leisure play pool, large gym with three separate group fitness rooms, child care facilities and a stunning café - allowing visitors to use the centre for work, play and as a social gathering place. Two large waterslides, accessed from inside the facility and exiting onto a splash deck near the water play area further enhance the centre’s amenity and appeal.
The wave like roof and stunning architecture make the centre an iconic edition to the precinct whilst its ‘fluid’ design form creates soaring interiors filled with natural light and inviting spaces. The extensive use of transparent and translucent panels further serves to bring light and colour to the interior, welcoming users and visitors alike.
Future expansion works will include an Adventure Park, making Aquanation a truly ‘one stop shop’ experience.
