We're thrilled to share that the soil turning ceremony for the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre has marked an exciting milestone! Designed by Peddle Thorp Architects for the Surf Coast Shire Council, this project represents a significant investment in the health, wellbeing, and community spirit of the region.
With its name derived from the Wadawurrung language, meaning "big gathering place," the Wurdi Baierr Centre will provide world-class facilities that celebrate inclusivity and connection. From state-of-the-art aquatics to multi-purpose recreation spaces, the centre will cater to all ages and abilities.
A big thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. We’re proud to be part of a project that will leave a lasting legacy for the community.
